Independent Pyrenean Walks - No Car Required

Ardiden_massif_pasture.JPGAfter encouraging numerous clients to get to the Pyrenees using public transport we have now prepared an independent walking week where all walks are accessed using the public transport network within the valley.  We provide bus timetables, 6 days of walking notes and maps, along with 7 nights of half board accommodation in the Hotel Les Templiers.  The great thing about using the public transport network is that you can be dropped off in one place and picked up in another, something you cannot do when you have a car.

Luz St Sauveur is almost exactly half way between Lourdes, the entrance to the valley, and Gavarnie at the head of the valley.  The walks therefore cover the extremely pretty, rolling foothills (although don't be mistaken - some of the steepest climbs out of the valley are in this area), the middle mountain region around Luz and Barèges (the photo shown is on the GR10 between Barèges and Luz) and then up to the magnificent Gavarnie Cirque where you are surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the Pyrenees (all over 3000m).

The week is 440€ per person in double/twin share.  Contact us for single room prices.
