Winter Ski Packages

Our winter skiing and snow shoe offers are still available from the Sunday 7th March until Friday 9th April 2010.  335€ per person for 5 nights B&B (twin share) in Hotel Les Templiers, 4 days ski passes, 4 days ski hire and 2 evenings at the thermal baths. Take advantage of the empty slopes mid week and the lovely March sun. Its hard to beat.

Launch of Pyrenean Odysseys

As we did last summer we are offering Pyrenean Mountain Tours (PMT) summer program. In order to show exactly what is on offer this summer we have built a new website which is linked to the PMT website.

The internet address is www.pyrenees-mountains.com and we have called it Pyrenean Odysseys. 

The initiative is a partnership between us at Hotel les Templiers, Mandy Latchford, who has worked with PMT for the last couple of years as a guide and general organiser, her partner Sacha Romonoff and Jonathan C-Jones who is also an International Mountain Leader.

Between us we are offering a range of guided and independent walking holidays, multi-activity/adventure holidays and simple accommodation.  We have fixed a program for the summer but are more than happy to organise bespoke type holidays if you have an idea of what you want to do and it doesn't fit any of our propositions.

Family and friends

We've had a lovely lot of visitors most of January.  The weather and snow were great.  Enough little blizzards to keep the snow fresh and enough sunny days to go out and enjoy it.  Perfect really.

We had a fabulous day snow shoeing at Hautacam. Above the clouds with the blue sky above us and white all around. Great 360° views and really quite spectacular.

Very quiet first week of February. Busy weekend coming up and then holiday season starting mid next week and fully next weekend until the 8th March. Conditions good so come and enjoy it!

Two days of SNOW! yes!

9 jan 2010, the village is now all white.. still snowing today.  The courageous kids from the local ski club went up the mountain, the snow is going to be fabulous.

Snow in Luz!!

With snow announced for today and over the weekend skiing conditions should be perfect next week.  And it is the "Ski Cadeau" week from the 9th-16th January, where you get lift passes for Luz Ardiden essentially for free (I got the dates wrong in a previous post).  The price per person twin share in Hotel Les Templiers for 5 nights in half board, 5 days lift passes at Luz Ardiden and one entry into the thermal baths is 259€.  So check the train timetables and take advantage of the perfect conditions for a perfect price.

Shuttle to Luz Ardiden leaves at 9am daily, coming down at 4pm.  SNCF bus to Barèges leaves at 9:10am and 10:25am.  Shuttle from Barèges to Tournaboup every 15 mins or so.
